Pujya Puja and Guru Puja (paying honor to teachers and elders) are two best traditions since time immemorial. The notion of prayer and respect to our ancestors and elders is embodied in our tradition and culture.. In this modern age, people often forget to pay homage to the real directors of our society. The initiatives taken by KAPOCH to pay tribute to such persons prove its rich cultural background.
Pujya Puja and Bhajan Samaroha is a wonderful program organized every year to respect our older generations and elderly people. This is a part and parcel of our rich tradition. In order to promote this ethos in larger society, Pujya Puja and Bhajan Samaroha have been organized every year. This year the program was organized on 16th July, 2016 at Budha Mandir, Bhubaneswar with participation of more than 135 people. This above program is specially organized in the sweet memory of famous spiritual singers Sir late Nimai Charan Harichandan, popularly known as Banikantha of Odisha. He was a popular devotional singer and writer, who devoted his whole life for promotion of Jagannath culture by singing Odia folk and devotional songs in a very unique style. The program was orchestrated by a group of devotional singers who sang Bhanjans dedicated to the holy soul of Banikantha Nimai Harichandan.
